Job Description:
  • Sherwood Pines is a small 16 bed Residential Care Facility providing services for seniors who require memory care in beautiful Veneta, Oregon.
  • Preference will be given to the applicant who is a team player and willing to work on the weekend or assist in various positions such as a shower aide or life enrichment assistant.

  • Compensation includes a $0.50/hour swing shift differential.
  • Position is also eligible for an additional $1.00/hr differential for all shifts worked on the weekends.
  • Differentials are to be stacked.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and complete preservice dementia, preservice infection prevention, and caregiver training.
  • Treat all community members with respect, dignity, and compassion.
  • Support and perform care as specified in the community member service plan.
  • Assure community members are accounted for.
  • Observe community members for changes in condition and report any significant changes.
  • Respond to emergency situations according to current policies and procedures.
  • Complete incident reports per policy on assigned shift.
  • Take and record vitals into community members’ charts.
  • Promptly respond to calls.
  • Tidy community members’ rooms and other common areas around the facility.
  • Change linens and remove garbage.
  • Complete laundry and ensure it is delivered back to the room in a timely manner.
  • Transfer and escort community members following care plans and safe practices.
  • Document care provided.
  • Read and contribute to shifting reports and care notes to ensure continuity of care.
  • Administer medications after medication class and approval from the Administrator.
  • Report to the Administrator any signs of community member abuse or witnessed misappropriation.
  • Have a neat and clean appearance and adhere to the dress code as policy indicates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the nurse verbally or in writing.
